 BESIGYE TO KNOW BAIL FATE TODAY AFTER 147 DAYS IN JAIL 11th April. 2025. Veteran opposition politician Dr Kizza Besigye and Obeid Lutale are waiting to hear of their bail application today at the high court in Kampala. It is believed that today has marked 147 days in jail since they were arrested in Nairobi last year. According to current reports, both Besigye and Hajji Obeid believe that they will be released on bail over the matter of treason as the reports say with a maximum penalty of death by hanging. Dr Kizza Besigye, who was the president's personal physician during the Luweero bush war, disagrees with how they are treating him. he is persecuted for defending the constitution and the rights of citizens to organise a peaceful governance.
