CULTIVATING SUCCESS!!!!

Agriculture is a diverse and comprehensive industry. It highlights the variety of activities and disciplines that fall under the umbrella of Agriculture. This may lead to the question, "How diverse is agriculture?" I am talking of poultry farming, crop production, livestock production, aquaculture, forestry, and horticulture. As I said, agriculture consists of diverse things, but all of them have many benefits, for example, food and income, to mention but a few.

Agriculture also has major products, which include foods, fibres, fuels, and raw materials such as rubber. Food classes include cereals, vegetables, fruits, cooking oils, meat, milk, and eggs. Agricultural products can be used for both food and income, which makes it a more than double benefit.

No business does not incur a loss, but as far as I know, if you want to get profits in your business, you have to partly put in what you wish to get from it. Agriculture is not different from any other business, it also requires money, hard work, attention for you yield what you sow.

There are what they call pesticides and fertilizers in agriculture; these are some of the ways farmers have fought cases of diseases and the poor quality of the land. Pesticides mostly work with the rearing of animals, and fertilizers work with crop production. In most cases, you can require both pesticides and fertilizers during both rearing animals and crop production, especially when working with the growth of tomatoes. You will need to add fertilizers to the soil for better results and spray pesticides to kill the pests on the tomatoes for better yields.

Pests are the greatest threat to crops. Although other issues have brought about poor yields in crop production, pests are still holding the highest percentage of the poor yields in crop production and forestry all over the country. These pests are in continents like Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, Oceania, and North America.

These pests include cotton bollworm, which mostly attacks cotton, and tobacco whitefly, which also attacks cotton and tomatoes. Two-spotted spider mites attack tomatoes and beans, and diamondback moth attacks cabbages. There is also the taro caterpillar, which attacks peanuts, and the red flour beetle, which attacks wheat. The green peach aphid attacks potatoes, the fall armyworm also attacks cotton, as the brown planthopper attacks rice.

All the above pests not only attack the plant but also lead to the poor yields in agriculture. Agriculture as any other business, it incurs losses but with the help of pesticides that help to fight such pests, a farmer is confident that he will reap what he sowed and neverthelss, more than he sowed.

Most people look at agriculture as a hard business to start but in most cases, agriculture is the simplest business to start since it doesnot require alot of capital and it can also be done with the few resources you have for example a small piece of land can be used for the growth of more than one type of food,  This is mostly with vegetables for they can be grown within a small piece of land and yield more income with the less capital and resources used.
